Jiu-Jitsu classes for children begin with the building blocks that are needed to teach the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu. We have developed a curriculum that is structured in a way that shows children and teens the value of routine, cooperation and self-awareness.

ABOUT
CARLOS GRACIE JR
Carlos Gracie Jr., born on January 17, 1956, grew up immersed in his family’s fighting tradition. He learned from key Gracie figures, including his father, Carlos Gracie Sr., Helio Gracie, and Rolls Gracie. Raised in the iconic Teresópolis house, he developed a strong sense of community, shaped by shared training and resources. This experience influenced his worldview and Jiu-Jitsu approach, which he later applied at Gracie Barra, expanding his family’s values on a larger scale. His success is deeply connected to these principles and the collaborative spirit he fostered.
